Ranch Life…

June 13, 2007 at 9:06 pm (Ranch Life)

This past weekend was the wedding at the ranch.  Talk about stressful and crazy. We had guests coming in Wednesday night, to whom I served dinner. That was really my first official meal to serve guests, so it was a little stressful. But we’re all ol’ pros now. The wait staff (Me, my sister, Colleen, and the 4 chefs) all worked at least 14-16 hr days, 3 days in a row. We were exhausted. Then Jen and I had to work Sunday morning as well since the wedding guests were checking out that morning.  The wedding day I worked from 6:30am to 11pm and didn’t sit down for more than 10 or 15 minutes at a time. Well, everything is supposed to be downhill from here. J So, that was the big start to our summer. We should be able to handle things well from here. This coming Saturday some of us are going to Yellowstone with a guided tour.  That’ll be fun since the last time I went was when I was 9 or 10.  Oh, yeah. Last Wednesday night it snowed here…in June…three days before the wedding. Yeah, it was crazy.   Thursday morning Jen and I got up and eventually got to the main lodge only to walk in and the power’s out.  We eventually got it back. But we were all so surprised to see it snowing in June; and two days before we had been white-water rafting.  They say that if you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes and then decide what to do. It changes so fast out here. It’ll be sunny, and the next thing you know it’s raining, but then five minutes later it’s sunny again. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me. J Anyways, I’ve gotta go. Hope I didn’t bore y’all. I miss all of y’all and hope to hear from y’all. Leave me a note or something.

Love in Christ,

-Britt

Hey Britt! I was at Clay and Gayle’s wedding shower (for couples) on saturday, and saw your fam minus you, jen and jason. Ashleigh and I were talking about how jealous we are that you and Jen are spending the summer out there, and how cool all your pictures are. It’s stinkin’ 95 degrees here every day.

Thanks for updating on this blog, it’s great to see how y’all are doing and feel like we’re still in touch a bit. Hope you enjoy the rest of your summer out there.

    Jeremiah
