“There ain’t much fun in medicine, but there’s a heck of a lot of medicine in fun.”

This is my first post in this blog. My Freshman year of school is done and over with. I can’t believe how fast it flew by. It was crazy. My first year was full of hardships, learning, making new friendships, growing, and having crazy fun. All in all, it was a good year.

Some of you may already know and some of you may be finding out for the first time, but this summer I am working at a ranch in Wyoming. It’s called Turpin Meadow Ranch.  It’s a dude ranch where people come and vacation. They go on fly-fishing trips, camping trips, and hunting trips.  I’ll be doing kitchen/waitress work there. I’m so excited about going! Yet at the same time I’m going to be a little sad to not be around my family this summer since I haven’t been around them all school year, except for short breaks.  This is such an amazing opportunity and I’m still not convinced that I’m actually going to Wyoming for the summer. I’m trusting this is where God wants me. I’m also trusting that He will provide the money needed for next school year since this job doesn’t quite pay as much as I need. We’ll see what happens. 

I’m hoping to keep this blog up over the summer and enter at least once a week, maybe every other day. Some posts will be serious and some will hopefully be funny. I hope everyone’s summer is amazing and full of wonderful opportunities. I’ll be in touch!
